BOOK REVIEW: Poop Poems, by T.R. Swerdlow

Story time. A couple weeks ago, my friend sent me an Instagram reel featuring what is basically Shrek erotic fanfic. He did not know that I had just watched Shrek for the millionth time. What can I say, I like the movie. Shrek is love, Shrek is life.

Anyway. Of course I had to read the book. Get in my Swamp, my G.M. Fairy, if you’re interested. It’s a quick fun read. Same night I posted my review, my mom got a request for a crocheted Shrek baby costume. And then I got an email from a publisher who wanted to send me a review copy of a poop poetry book. Lo and behold, the author is involved in the next installment of Shrek.

What does this all mean? Is Shrek bigger than love and life? Maybe I’ll try my hand at crocheting a Shrek doll, with buttcheeks of course.

I don’t know, but I got the book in the mail today. Poop Poems, by T.R. Swerdlow. It’s not a literary masterpiece. It won’t be assigned in your creative writing class. But I was promised amusing poems about poop that were written on the can and that’s what I got. And now I have a fun conversation piece for my bookshelf. That Pooplitzer prize is well earned 💩📚

Super fun book. Thanks to T.R. Swerdlow and Soot Publishing for sending me a review copy. I love it!
