Books, movies, and other totally normal human things

Day 9 of 31 days of horror: Psycho (1960)

I decided to treat myself to my first repeat of the season after yesterday’s movie. Psycho is one of my favorite movies. I love everything about it. I love the cinematography. I love how crisp and clear it is despite being black and white. I love how it’s full of beautiful people with crooked teeth. That’s part of the charm of these old movies. Crooked teeth. I love the dialog and the storytelling. I love the score. The final scene where Norman is sitting in the interrogation room wrapped in the blanket and Mother is narrating is perfection. That little grin.

There was a remake in 1998 but I haven’t watched it. The Hitchcock film is perfection.
