Today’s movie is inspired by my incessant need to connect things to other things. In this case, The Brain and the episode of Futurama where giant brain aliens make everyone stupid, The Day the Earth Stood Stupid. I haven’t seen this movie, but I am convinced by the synopsis that the episode was inspired by it. Also, David Gale is in it so I must watch.

Whoa. Brain dude is gross. Ha. Independent brainwashing. SpoOoky teddy bear crying blood. Gross. What the heck. Sodium in the toilet, huh. Highest IQ yet he’s copying his girlfriend’s homework? Yes, brainwash the boy. That’ll fix him. Whoops, gotta bake my birthday cake. Guess I’ll use the last hour to time the bake. Look again, you little shit. It’s not 80s horror without boobs. Giant brain just got bigger. Ah, David Gale makes such a great mad scientist. That’s some powerful hallucination. Dude’s gonna need heavy sedation. HOLY SHIT. This nurse isn’t playing around. Wait, so the brain is in cahoots with the doctor? Oooh. I see now. Huh.

This movie wasn’t great. I’m still not sure what the deal with the brain was. Why was it here. What exactly was it. Why did it want to brainwash people. Who the hell just has blocks of pure sodium. After the troubled teen saves the day, life just goes back to normal? Not the worst movie I’ve ever seen, but I won’t watch it again.
