Books, movies, and other totally normal human things

Day 2 of 100 Days of Halloween: Eating Raoul (1982)

Tonight’s movie is inspired by my current rewatch of Star Trek: Voyager, Robert Beltran and that damned soft voice of his, and Nathan D. Ludwig. Wait, what? Yeah. I recently finished reading a delightful collection of cannibal stories (review to come) and as cannibal stories do, it left me wanting more. Cannibalism is like pringles to me. Once you pop, you can’t stop.

Ha! I can already tell I’m going to love this movie. Smooth move, dude. Made me laugh out loud though. Enemas are my specialty! Bahaha. Huh. Why’s this guy flirting with liquor store chicks when he’s got a smoking hot nurse at home. $175 rent increase in 1982?! Dang. Imagine stumbling into a swinger party. Oh hey, there he is. Young adorable Robert Beltran. Doris the dominatrix. Look at them with their matching pajamas and twin beds. Ughhh why does this have to be on Tubi. Literally seven ads. But I refuse to pay for more streaming services. That’s one hell of a dress. Mrs. Bland?! Amazing. Bro…you got scammed. The number of times this woman is almost raped. But she is unfazed and motivated. Sex repulsed couple turns to crime to pay the bills. This is fun. The blind nun lol. Hasta la vista, cholo! Hello Austin Powers before Austin Powers.

Well that was fun. Way less cannibalism than I expected. Lots of Robert Beltran saying and doing stereotypical Mexican things and casual racism. Gratuitous nudity. Absurd plot. I’d watch it again.
