I love the Evil Dead franchise. After watching the most recent movie in the theater, I decided to go back and watch all of them. Tonight’s movie is Evil Dead 2.

I forgot that this is not really a sequel. It’s more of a remake. Well, sorta. Explains why Ash would bring his girlfriend to the same cabin where he watched all his friends die. Oh hey, same shovel. Same cause of death. The camera work in these movies is wild. You get out of my boy Ash, demon! Oooh shit, bridge is gone. Ash playing the piano is an interesting choice. Ha! Forgot about the dead Linda dance number. Bruce Campbell is so cute in this movie. He was too young in the first one. Oh no, they got his hand lol. Heyyy it’s that chick from the soaps. Definitely seeing the stooge physical comedy influence. I am not a stooge fan, but it is funny as fuck in this movie. A Farewell to Arms. Never noticed that before.

The general consensus is that Evil Dead 2 is a better movie than the first one and I have to agree. They’re both great, but 2 is what the first one should have been. Evil Dead is like a rough draft. Blah blah blah. Whatever. No one is reading this.
