Day 7 of 100 Days of Halloween: Vulcanizadora (2024)

I slept a lot yesterday. I cleaned and I slept. The night before, I woke up and puked my guts out all over my carpet. I don’t know what caused it and it doesn’t really matter, but it threw me off and I stayed home from work yesterday to sleep and clean. This was the movie I was planning to watch. Every time I sat in my chair thinking I’d turn it on, I ended up sitting there zoning out. Today is catch up day. Vulcanizadora isn’t really horror, but the cover art and description sounded interesting. Dark comedy. Very dark.

Two guys walking through a forest talking about nothing, getting on each other’s cases for not being prepared or caring too much about keys. Playing with fireworks. Is this supposed to be artsy? Because it is just…not. Whoa. Man this guy is annoying. Never shuts the fuck up. What a dork. Bahahaha that’s what he’s been looking for?! Seriously, dude. Oooh sand. “You feel better now, but tomorrow? You’re gonna feel bad again.” Oof. It’s getting sad and dark now. Those masks are wild. Holy fuck. How is there still half an hour left. Huh. Well alrighty then.

Yeah that was pretty dark, but done in a way that lightened the darkness. I’m not sure I would recommend it to anyone, but it wasn’t bad.
