I’ve had this one on my watchlist for years now, but every time I think about watching it, my brain starts playing the Billy Idol song and I just can’t. Tonight I am powering through Billy Idol. A surgeon who kidnaps beautiful young women hoping to perform a face transplant on his daughter? Yeah, that’s right up my alley.
Oh. Is this going to be in French? The music is a bit much. This lady seems awfully anxious. Where are you going and who is that in your back seat. Oh, I see. A little late night body disposal. Yep. Subtitles. Very visually appealing. What is this? Cops who are not useless? Seems professor doesn’t do his own dirty work. That couldn’t have been his daughter. There she is. Are we gonna get to see her face? So he did a successful surgery on the other woman. How odd that doc just hid her away instead helping her adjust to her new life with a fucked up face. He’s loaded. She could still live a charmed life. She could be happy loving on all those dogs. Oh shit. She really is fucked up. Surgery time! Let’s see the controversial surgery scene. This man is a terrible surgeon. You’d think if he’s gonna go through the trouble of kidnapping and killing women, he’d at least cut the right shape. Simply peeling off a face like that wouldn’t be effective. I know, I know. This isn’t a medical documentary. Wtf does he need all those dogs for. Well I guess Edna made the decision for him. It’s not like he could have let her go anyway. It worked! Maybe it’s not working after all. Dang. There’s that mask again. Oh. He’s practicing on dogs. Poor girl got her hopes up and now she’s back where she started. Christiane has had enough of this shit. Aww that dog looks like my childhood dog Jake. Chonky shepherd mix. Get him, Jake! Jake was a bitey boy too. Look at you, little miss Disney princess. Walking off into the woods with a dove on her hand. This was a great movie.
