I have fallen so far behind on my 100 Days of Halloween project. I don’t even know what day it is. I will edit this post later. This is not due to lack of planning, for once. I have lists of movies, authors, fiber artists, and other spooky season stuff I want to showcase. The thing is, I can be easily distracted and/or super lazy. Yes, too lazy to sit down and watch a movie and write a few words about it. It’s why I never seriously considered writing the stories in my head, despite having the words and skill to do so. Excuses, excuses. Anyway. Tonight’s movie is a Spanish language film called Dos Monjes (Two Monks). The two meet up in a monastery and one proceeds to attempt to bludgeon the other to death with a crucifix. The film then shows us what led up to this from each of their points of view. Very cool concept. I’m going to watch and crochet and then tell you how it pans out.

So…I am at a loss for words. Visually, this film is very appealing. The score is everything I love about this generation of old movies. The story is weak. It was unclear why anyone would call this a horror film until the very end, and even that was just the hallucinations of a dying man. It’s not a bad film. It’s clearly experimental in nature. I enjoyed it enough to finish it and not feel like I wasted an hour and a half on it. But it is largely forgettable.
