Night of the Living Dead was released on October 1, 1968, 58 years ago. It was groundbreaking in a lot of ways, from the Black lead actor to its graphic portrayals of zombies doing zombie things to its truly fucked up ending. I’m not going to give my usual play by play reactions. I’ve seen it a million times and would really like to just sit back and enjoy it. But if you dig horror and zombies with some social commentary subtext and you haven’t seen it? Dude. Do it already.
