Today was my annual birthday outing with one of my besties. Started the day with the best iced mango matcha from a little Vietnamese coffee shop. Got to see one of my favorite people for the first time in ages. Stopped by the yarn store and got a few lovely skeins of yarn. We had Korean fried chicken for lunch and then went to a whole bunch of other fun places. And we found real valley lemons! It was a great day. Anyway, it’s movie time. How about a John Carpenter movie called Prince of Darkness featuring Alice Cooper?

I will admit that Alice Cooper’s face on the Prime Video thumbnail is what made me stop and look up a little bit about this movie. This seems exactly like the kind of movie that I would love, yet somehow I have never seen it. Time to remedy that. I’m tired though, so I’m just going to watch and relax and eat candy.

This was pretty cool. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Alice Cooper’s appearance was brief, but the cameo was fun regardless. The lead actor’s blonde mustache weirded me out a little. All the facial hair was crooked. I forgot how old young people look in these old movies. These grad students look like adults who went back to school for career advancement opportunities, whereas the students I encounter daily look like children to me. Imagine having to explain all that happened to the cops the next morning. Anyway. Good movie.
